Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Bhaktapur (also called Bhadgaon or

Khwopa) lies in the eastern portion of

Kathmandu

Valley. At the heart of this ancient city is Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Many of the smaller streets around the city converge onto this square where the royal palace of the Bhaktapur Kingdom was located.
